To all of our loyal partners in Disaster Forum. To our delegates, speakers and sponsors:
I am getting more and more enquiries about what disaster forum will look like this year and into the future. The short answer is that the forum is taking on a new look. Many of you provided great input when we surveyed you. And we heard what you had to say. You told us that you like many things about the conference but are open to new ways of bringing learning, knowledge transfer and networking to risk management practitioners. The Disaster Forum advisory committee has taken your feedback to heart and we are working hard to evaluate the conference. We intend to roll out our Disaster Forum plan for 2018 very, very soon. No later than the end of April. We’d like to get this to you sooner but time for volunteers is hard to come by and we are all volunteers in this. Keep a close eye on this space for more information. Thank you for your ongoing support.
Please stay tuned to this page for updates or contact us for more information.

About the Forum
Disaster Forum is planned and organized to accomplish this through a combination of:
- Key note and break out speakers from around the world.
- Planned common meals and planned social events in the evenings where networking is encouraged and further speakers are engaged.
- Live demonstration exercises and events.
Providing a forum for professionals in the areas of disaster mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery; supplemented with on-going educational opportunities.
Disaster Forum is proud to have been recognized by both the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) and Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (CRSP) organizations.
